Pay Day - the best and worst day

Today is pay day - which is the best and worst day of ever. Obviously it's the best because all the work that has been done for the past teo weeks has paid off and you have money to live on now. I say it's the worst day because, without fail, Hubs and i somehow wind up in an argument on how to pay the bills.
You see, Hubs and I have an agreement that I pay every bill except his truck and school payments (thank god for joint bank accounts). I am responsibble for electric, cable, phone, and whatever else may pop up along the way. It works for us because I set alarms on my phone calander and when they go off, i pay the bills. I don't forget and they almost always get paid on time (I am only human after all, and sometimes they are paid a little late). So today, the bills got paid, the kitchen got clean (with the bestie/roomie's help), we cleaned out the fridge, and are about to tidy up our bathroom and respective bedrooms. We also were able to get out of the house today and go on a little girls day out trip. It was fun (it always is with us!!) and relaxing. Were thinking about taking a dip in the pool when the men get home.
Oh yeah, another positive thing about pay day is that no one cooks dinner to night! We either do take out or go out to eat, which is a nice change from cooking all week!
Not too much else going on in here today, Fridays tend to be slow, but it's relaxing for the most part. We will all probably wind up in roomie's room watching Grey's or a movie. It's probably one of my favorite times that we have. We all watch the movie and talk and laugh and just chill out and relax after a long week!
Now, I'm off to clean up the bathroom and then off to our local redbox to see if we can find the Friday night movie!!
I'll write more later (sorry if this one was a little boring, i promise the next one will be more interesting!!)

End of Day 1

So, the Hubby came home early and we had a great afternoon and evening together. He had put dinner in the crock pot before he went to work today (it's rare, but sometimes he does do it), so it left us some free time to do what we wanted. We gt to talk and laugh with our friends, have a drink, and have some alone time together as well. I guess days like these make the not so great days worth it!
Anyway, not too much to say tonight - I'm hoping the Hubs doesn't talk or snore in his sleep tonight. that reminds me ladies, if you have a talker or snorer and you have access to a lap top, grab some headphones and listen to music or watch tv or movies (my netflix account is awesome!) - it is the ONLY thing that seems to work. I know for a fact (thanks to my roomie/ best friend i mentioned earlier) that breathe right strips and ear plugs DO NOT WORK!!
I will post more tomorrow :) - Keep Reading!!

Day 1

Today I walked into my roomates (and also best friends) room and anounced that I was starting a blog about being a mechanics wife. She laughed (or if you know her it's more of a giggle) like i knew she would and that's how i knew it would be a good idea!
This whole idea popped into my head about ten minutes before i made my announcement. I was in my room looking (for what felt like the millionth time) for a pillow case to cover the new pillow i just bought. I was sitting there, getting more and more frustrated, thinking that NO ONE told me about all of this shit. No one told me how men do't do their laundry, they dont clean up after themselves when they shower (that is when they shower, since apperantly my husband and his friends think daily showers are an option not a nessecity), how they dont tell you what they want for dinner, then whine when you dont have something ready, how they think they ARE always right and only are half of the time, how they 'forget' to flush when they pee, or stink up the bathroom, don't spray the bathroom spary, and laugh when you walk in and then walk out dying from the smell. I could go on and on, but i'm sure I will over the next couple days/weeks/years.
I'm hoping that this blog gets read, but I will warn you - I'm not going to sugar coat anything. This is going to be the blog about everything that people have never said about marriage. At times it will be funny, crude, nasty, mean, sad and anything else you can think of. If you don't want to hear it, don't read it. Sipmle. I've been told I talk alot, but i think that's a good thing, because if i dont't talk I won't be heard, and I want to be heard about all of this! Welcome to my world......the world of being a mecahincs wife! Enjoy the ride :-) !
